What the business is Gods people thanks for visiting us at Hipe Hope urban gospel. This is D.J Sizzle blazin the page with yet another hot album review. Them boyz over at God Chaserz ENT. just keep cranking out the hitz. God Chaserz and Clean Rich Records have come together to release holy hip-hop artist Big R's new project entitled Rated R. Representing North Carolina Big R brings Christ to the block. And with his rugged approach he did his thing with this one as he followed up his debut album Let em go with Rated R. Big R, now apart of the God Chaserz Ent. (GCE) is eager to bring the message of Christ full force. Not just a rapper Big R knows the business world first hand and as a Pastor he's no stranger to God's word. This makes for an explosive outcome, an anointing plus a working knowledge of the word and an ear for the streets has proved to be formula for success. Big R's music is classic yet cutting edge and seems to be tailor made for R's style. Working along side Brinson, Ready writer, and some other big name artist in the game R has an album that rises to the top on all sides. Big R tackles heavy and pressing issues and makes it easy for his listeners to see themselves in his music. Common issues such as trust within the church family and searching for approval of those who say they love us and many others make R's music so relative. Big R is in your face and straight to the point, but the angle R used to get at the listener is very effective. Big R's ability to tell stories inside crunk beatz all in a perfect balance of free form yet purposeful rhymes add a refreshing element that's not to preachy but is very strong on his views and his love for the Lord. Big R makes it totally clear on where he stands and isn't afraid to let anyone know. In fact there's a track entitled Mr. Secular that specifically addresses those not of the faith who are critical of believers in the industry. Through this album Big R takes us on a journey inthe struggles pains and adversities christian rappers and Christians in general face when talking and walking it out for Jesus. But through it all there's an underlying spirit of encouragement urging the listener to never give up. I love how Big R has a take it by force attitude and displays that although we have the love of God in us, Christians aren't weak. Rated R is a solid album and I'm really feeling the collab's, and the production is fire. This album goes hard, there's 13 actual song tracks but I find myself wanting more but satisfied with the album on repeat. Support the vision and ministry of Big R and (GCE), the world is in need of music like this.
Rated R gets five of five hipe hope headphones for spiritual content, clever word play, sincere and powerful delivery, hot banging beatz, and incredible substance.
